When I said well worn I didn't mean worn out--I should have been more specific. The actions were okay. But externally they had little finish remaining.
I misunderstood -- sorry. IIRC, that was pretty typical of those surplus imports, as they had been used in Argentina for years in the military and LE. They certainly were fine for making into something nice, thus my reason for kicking myself. Agreed. The only things that came close were the Norincos that were imported a bit later. But even those, IMO, didn't have the "Colt cachet" of the Argies. Harvey |
