For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Someone realized that the aperture was superior to the open sights? Compared to other military rifles of that time, with their mid-barrel open sights, the P14 and its sights was way ahead of its time, IMO. The only downside was that the rear sight wasn't adjustable for windage. Harvey |
