Here in "the home", every apartment has one. Ours are smaller than the one pictured, though. I find ours too shallow for much use. It's also too out-of-the-way, being in the closet of our guest bedroom.
If you think about it, a normal 2x4 wall has about 1 1/2" of stud depth and 1/2" or a bit more of Sheetrock covering it, If you use it for a gun, the gun has to stand up in it - maybe not a problem if you have nothing else to store there. We do use ours for some jewelry and papers but my few remaining guns are in another small strong-box more easily accessed. Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've always thought one of these in-wall mini-safes would be handy for a CCW gun and perhaps other valuables. What are your thoughts about something like this?
