For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I would install one with lag bolts and not give it a moment's worry. I don't know what you'd use as a fulcrum to pry it out from between the studs with a crow bar. If I was a thief and knew about the safe I'd come prepared to cut the studs off above and below the safe and abscond with the safe, the stud segments and any accompanying sheet rock. No matter what you have or how you install it, a prepared crook can probably figure out a way to defeat it. This looks like a better idea than many. I am not a fan of keypads on gun safes and like the round "vending machine" key lock it also has. I would put the key on a chain around my neck and never put batteries in the keypad. |
