For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: My grandson got to use one of the M=14's set up for sniper work out to 1000 yards, semi auto, 18-24 power scope (I think that was the powers" hand picked barrel, glass bedding and used 168 grain Match King bullets loaded by the armorers. He made "kill" shots 9 out of 10, the "miss" would make you sick for a very long time! They had one in every platoon deployed in the middle east, he said it gave great comfort to the "Grunts" knowing bad guys that tried to drop mortars on them were in for a rude awakening! |
