"Bomb Cyclone", yet another term I had to look up. Never heard of it before seeing it on the weather news a few days ago.
The worst weather we've seen this year was a windstorm with gusts up to 60 mph that lasted for 10 or 12 hours. It happened a few weeks ago and we lost power for about 4 hours. We only saw about 4 inches of snow in two storms last winter. Another winter like that and I'll have to change out the gas in my snow blower's tank. I start with alcohol-free premium fuel (which is getting harder to find) and I add enough Stabil to make it last 3 years. At about 2 years and 6 months I syphon it out of the snowblower/generator/outboard motor tank and burn it in my truck. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Whew! I was watching the national weather and they made it sound like everyone from Portland up past Vancouver was getting clobbered. Glad you are in that bomb shelter! |
