For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: About the only excuse that comes to mind is complete unawareness of LE property marks and just jumping on the first number noticed--as you said, the path of least resistance. But LE numbers are usually clearly just that, eh? The only places I would accept that unawareness would be in a pawn shop where an employee might not be very familiar with firearms, or a private seller who isn't familiar with firearms. Harvey |
