Saw this Colt National Match on Gun Broker--one of their "Elite Auctions." While I'd love to own it, I think the price is a little rich for my blood. Nevertheless I thought I'd share it with my fellow 1911 lovers.
It appears to be in fine shape for a 59-year-old pistol. There is what appears to be some issues with the bluing in several of the 46 photos, but I'm attributing that to issues with the photography, probably lighting, because it doesn't look the same in every photo. It's somewhat surprising to see, because I'm familiar with the company, and they are usually meticulous with their auction photos, so I could be wrong in my judgement. It could also be irregular oiling of the finish that shows up oddly only at some angles. Otherwise the pistol looks great.
