For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Looking at the photos, I think your inclination is correct, I believe the visual oddities are due to oil, lighting and some odd reflections. The only defects I could positively identify were the scrape on the top rear of the grip safety spur and some magazine-related damage on the bottom of the grip frame. Otherwise, it looks like a great example! I don't know if I'd consider it a good choice as an investment grade collectible at that price. It might take decades for it to increase in value for you like it already has for its present owner. I'd also like to see some pictures of the inside of the box and the paperwork that should be in it, and make sure the box is serial numbered to the gun. I'm assuming you were thinking of this as a collectible rather than a shooter. |
