| Grouse are filthy, horrible little birds that refuse to fly in a straight line! They have the annoying habit of flushing like a bomb going off then fly in an erratic pattern dodging behind trees making a clean shot impossible. They also happen to inhabit the nastiest, thickest, sticker bush infested ground around......horrible little buggers that need killing.....that's why I continue to hunt them (without success) every year! | ||||||

Re: Grouse--i don't know much about them. But when I was younger I experimented with loading reduced loads in the .30-06 using very light (for the cartridge) softpoints. I never tried them on game but they shot well, with good accuracy. I wonder how they would do on your grouse problem? |
