The slide mounted levers getting in the way of racking slides is one of my biggest complaints on most pistols, other than S&Ws for some reason. I do think that if I had a slide-mounted decocker-only and wanted a safety as well, I'd replace the gun. (Again, a plus for S&Ws, with the decocker/safety combo.) | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The lever is still slide mounted? Yes it was when I sold it. Because it was a kinda, sorta CZ clone, the slide was narrow/thin (the slide fit inside the frame a la CZ) and the slide serrations small, so there was little to grip when racking the slide. Compounding the issue was that the decocker/safety lever took up more space where the serrations should have been. In hindsight, I should have had the new safety lever mounted on the frame. Oh well, too late we get shmart! On top of everything else, the pistol was heavy and it was a .40 S&W, not my favorite caliber. Harvey |
