I have the Taurus copy in a 2 1/2 barrel, round butt and carry it as a back-up when bear and deer hunting. I've had it going on 25 years and I'm extremely happy with it. Very accurate and heavy enough to help manage the recoil. I've looked at the S&W 66 version and I'll be damned if I can see a difference.....other than price? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Some of the things I disagreed with: The trigger pull. It sounds a lot like the standard S&W factory trigger pull, which is lacking. For $1000, that trigger in Single Action had best be more like 3-4 lbs, not as much as a Glock factory trigger. The 10 lb Double Action pull is also excessive IMHO. He also mentioned bobbing the hammer. No... just don't. I have never liked that in a carry gun, either get it shrouded or deal with the f-ing hammer. It's aesthecally unpleasant for the first of many issues. Agree with the lock delete. I haven't done that on any of mine as of yet as I think it'd ruin the collectability, but it's not something I am against. The finish description went a bit overboard. He's describing a "glow" around the gun and describing butter. Your thoughts good sir? |
