Have you ever got to thinking about how different wars would have turned out if one army was armed with something completely outside the time period in which that particular war was fought? Say, for example, if the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871 had the Prussians armed with their Dreyse "Needle Guns" while the French were armed with the HK416F. It could have turned out a bit differently, eh?
How about The American Civil War with the Union Army armed with their Springfield Muskets and the Confederate Army armed with AK 47s? (This was actually the plot of a book).
