True, I have run into guns that didnt like a certain load for whatever reason, and most polymer guns I have been around need a firm hold. I would have figured the limp wristing would have passed as an issue a decade or so ago as most shooters are more familiar with the poly guns. Who knows. I might well take my gun shops guarantee up on the lil bugger when they get one in.
The .44 mag is on my wish list, one of the last handguns Id like to have really, that and another 1911 (probably a bbq gun). I look forward to your purchase! as for the me, the G30 makes sense as I have mags as well as ammo and just need a holster or 2, (or 3 more likely). Ill keep you updated. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ha! You caught Roy at the computer. I told you he is good at replying. I have to say, I would have said the same thing if someone I didn't know emailed me, but because I have heard of some problems I would be sure you knew about it. It may well be isolated. Glocks are susceptible to any tendency to limp wrist, so the firm platform is critical. Jerry might--I said MIGHT, Jerry! ...have had problems because he likes to use Blazer, which, GREAT ammo that it is, might have not gotten along with one particular G30. you've been around guns long enough to know this but some of our lurkers might like knowing that it's just a fact the there are, and probably always will be, some examples of a certain gun that do not work well some examples of a certain ammunition. And it could be so isolated that another example of the same make and model will shoot another batch of the same ammo fine--or even the same lot! I think the scientific reasoning behind this is that it's a combination of magic and voodoo curses. I tell you my next wheelgun is going to be a Ruger Redhawk 4" .44 Magnum. That is the gun I should have gotten instead of that miserable Smith & Wesson I bought some years ago. (Just being silly, it was a fine gun but we didn't bond, for reasons that were mainly my fault.) I would consider .45 Colt if it didn't cost nearly a dollar a round. I could just handload it exclusively as there are some good factory loads from the Buffalo Bore and I think Doubletap, but still. I've never owned a .45 Colt and I plead the Unruh Rationale, your honor...I don't wanna add another caliber. I'm already set up for .44 Magnum and even .44 Special. |
