Now, 4 years later, the pistol is in its original condition and it will remain so. I tried to have Colt refinish it, and they kept putting me off because they weren't accepting refinish jobs, and I just gave up on that idea. Besides, it has "character" in this state. The photo doesn't do the pistol justice, as the finish is much nicer than it appears. I have no plans to carry it, so it has become a "fondler" for me. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As of February 2013 your plan was to have it lightly customized. Since we've been talking about it elsewhere in this section, I wanted a look to refresh my memory of its appearance. Rereading the caption made me want to ask if any customizing (excluding the finish) is still under consideration? Thanks!
