Dunno whether the accuracy comes from the locking wedge or superb barrels.
This P-88 group was shot at 25 yards, rested, with the flyer a different load of powder. Small is beautiful The P-88 may not be as neat looking as a standard 1911, but it sure is the equal (or better) of some of the 1911's with all that Go-Fast stuff . I like the ambi mag release, and the ambi slide release is good for lefties, or weak hand shooting. Harvey/ Ga |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Because of the P38-like system (non-Browning), the short barrel proved surprisingly accurate. Oh this is an interesting turn of the conversation. Do you really think that was the reason for high accuracy, the Walther Wedge, or whatever the locking system is actually called? I am short on knowledge here and don't really know what they do call the locking system used on the P38 and its offspring, and adopted by Beretta as well. I have no personal experience with any of the Walthers, but I know the Beretta 92 is reputed to be quite accurate. Kim's M92 was a very accurate pistol, as he just remarked on the phone a day or two ago. |
