I would like to try one, perhaps I'll rent one sometime. That, or unless I get a chance to shoot someone else's at the range someday is probably my only chance because my days of experimenting are over. I like 1911s and Smith 3rd Gen autos, and I enjoy revolvers mostly for old time's sake. I have striker-fired pistols almost exclusively for defense, and that's about it.
New guns are going to be probably 1911s exclusively, unless I run across something from my past that was of extreme interest to me then and I have the money in my pocket to buy it now. Even then, I've passed up quite a few guns in recent past that I would have killed to buy 30 years ago if I'd only had the money. So--buying a Px4 is extremely unlikely for me. And I can't see my son buying one either. He has his own strong likes and dislikes already, at any age where I was still experimenting greatly, probably because he started so much younger than I did. I could still rent a Px4, or a Turkish Beretta 8000, but the Walther P88 or P5 are guns I'll probably never get a chance to fire. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: but perhaps not one size fits all? Hard to tell without shooting it, but it has changeable backstraps that should give some room to adjust. Since it was a Cali gun, it came with 10-rd magazines -- what a waste. Harvey |
