Ah, I see. As to wood stocks, that is a problem with many of these modern guns. the ones I put on my SIG were pretty but really impractical for the same reason. I've also seen them on S&W 3rd Gen autos and they have the same issue. It seems most of these pistols with wrap-around panels are best left with the originals in place for the sake of manageable girth, eh? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Regrettably, the pic doesn't do the P-88 justice. The frame is matte black, but the slide is a nice polished blue, like my S70 1911. I wanted to install wood grips, but hardly anyone made them. The ones that I saw were VERY pricey and fat, and the plastic grips were a bit too fat for the grip that I like to use on a handgun.
