That is a "Radio Car". Good radios were scarce and expensive then. It was a two man assignment that experienced cops took. We also had jail wagons that would travel the city to pick up bad guys and bring them to the pokey.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think that's "Radio Cruiser, Precinct 14" but could be wrong. The Rum Chasers were feds! Stu
