I have to say if sure if I was going to go through the expense and hassles of buying a fully automatic subgun it would have to be the MP-5.
I think the MP5 is like plain toast in a world of exotic breads and rolls. It's about the last full auto I'd choose if I could buy anything, even if limited to just subguns. Everyone and their mother seems to have an MP5. I just don't get the attraction. It would have to be something very special, like an MP5 in 10mm, to make me even look at it. I like lots of other subguns way more--from the ponderous Thompson, which is fun to shoot in its plodding, boom...boom...boom way, to the ziiiiiiip of the tiny Czeck Skorpion Vz61. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have to say if sure if I was going to go through the expense and hassles of buying a fully automatic subgun it would have to be the MP-5. I have always loved that gun. I handle a few at gun shows over the years but never got to shoot one. Their prices are pretty dang high. The long barrel semi-auto HK-94 is like $3500. I don't recall the price of the auto version. |
