For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: MP5s are really nice, but expensive if they were made prior to 1986 and sold to the public via the NFA. LEOs and militaries can buy them new from H&K a lot less expensively than you or me, which we can't do legally. The various semi auto versions (HK94 Carbine, HK89 Pistol) have always been expensive, TTBOMK.
