I used a scope.  I removed it one time when hunting for a bear in Alders.  I had three scopes that I used.  My favorite bear scope was a Redfield 2 3/4 fixed power with the wide objective.  I also had a light weight Leupold 2 1/2 to 7 that I used and a 1 to 4 Leupold.  The Redfield was on my 375 H&H. mounted in a Redfield one piece base with a Pilkington quick detachable devise.  We talked about the Pilkington Devise back in 2006 when you were thinking about a 375.
