What I was referring to was not that those companies were the only ones making stainless guns (c'mon Harvey--d'uh  ), but that those two were making a lot more than most everyone else. In this case I apologize for not making my attempted point clear. ODI, Randall--they made hardly any guns compare to S&W or AMT. Even Detonics production was much lower, I suspect. That was what I was trying to say. And all the others, those boutique operations making massive making autloaders, etc...produced hardly any guns. In the meantime, how many stainless guns did S&W make? Or AMT? A lot.
And thus, had the greater experience. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: PMFJI, but there were a number of makers of stainless pistols in the '80s. AMT, Detonics, ODI, Randall and others. I think they all had issues with galling early on.
