A quarter minute of angle group at 1000 yards? Wow! I think any errant puff of breeze would just destroy a group like that! A great - and likely somewhat lucky - group, Allan, and that's not to denigrate Richards at all!

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I do miss it! By the time I left, the club was holding some kind of sanctioned long range matches that drew shooters from surrounding states. We had steel targets out to more than 2,100 yards and had several guys who knew what they were doing. As far as I know, club member Jim Richards still holds the world record for shooting 10 rounds in 2.6872 inches at a thousand yards. I miss everything about Montana but the winters. My wife ran completely out of tolerance for them and now that I'm going into my second year away from them I have no desire to see them again. Now, here on the left coast, I just have to figure out how to put up with the most ignorant, unpatriotic, and just plain un-American people on the planet.
