My first AR-15 was the SP-1, with the triangular fore end. 1-12 twist, so it didn't shoot the 69 gr. bullet.
However, we only had 1-200 yard ranges at the time, and it transitioned many of my smallbore shooters into Hi-Power, and onward to the DCM M-14 match rifles. HGW |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: are you even AR guys? Not any more. There was I time when my friend and I were building them to sell at shows that I had more than one. I even had one we built on a 20" upper and the old Vietnam era triangular forearm furniture. It took a looooong time to sell that one. Harvey |
