Well keep in mind this was back at the turn of the Century (Gosh I love saying that) after I moved back to St. Louis. By then, most of the Vietnam vets that I thought might be interested in a throwback, nostalgic M16-like rifle had other things in mind.So it goes.
If times and opportunities were mixed up, you could be making millions. Millions I tell you. Ain't that the truth! Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It must have been pure nostalgia on my part, 'cause no one was interested in anything other than 16" carbines. My bad! I believe that today, with the AR15 seeming to be the most prolific rifle in america, there is a generation to whom any type is interesting, from AR pistols thru short little carbines to long range rifles with 24" and perhaps long barrels. This isn't to say that there isn't a truly large number of shooters who love bolt action, lever action, single shots, and the wide variety of other semi-autos (TJ layed out what he sees as the most popular of those recently), but ARs are not just 16" carbines anymore, eh? They all sell. In fact, the 16" carbine is perhaps the most uninteresting to the AR fan, who seems to be looking for something different to excite his somewhat bored AR palate of late. If times and opportunities were mixed up, you could be making millions. Millions I tell you. |
