I just stumbled across this old conversation when it was linked to a picture of Herb's M24 on the Home Page. A beautiful revolver but I, too, thought the barrel looked more in proportion to a 2" snubby rather than a 3".
So I scaled the dimensions and compared them with online photos of a M24 with a known 6 1/2" barrel. My barrel length answer came up just over 3 inches! It is indeed the bulk of that N-frame that makes the barrel look so short. Still a handsome gun, though. Stu |
