Yes, it has to be 8x58. I'd love to know of a source for ammo. Whoever sold it to me back in the Coompuserve days told me it was 11.7x51Rmm Danish; I think they were confusing it with the Remington rolling block rifles of the same vintage. Mine is an 1889 model, mfg. in 1892, with the 1910 safety added. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Cool. That Danish Krag is also a good bit more rare than a US Krag here. Is it in 8x58? If you ever want to shoot it I found a source for ammo. |
