I've always felt that the 16.5" barrel should have been the standard length for the SKS. But Simonov must have felt the 20" barrel was short enough compared to the Moisant Nagant.
BTW, the SU16 probably has a longer length of pull than the SKS. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've always been a fan of the SKS rifle and even more so for one of these, which I see as one of the handiest little Semi-autos out there being shorter than my Kel-Tec SU-16A.
