I'm getting too old to spend big money on project guns.  That is for younger men.  Because I have no needs, I don't need to buy anything immediately, so I can abide my time if I really want something, and thus usually find something set up the way I want it.

But to be honest, as much as a firearms enthusiast as I am, sporting rifles are way down my lists of interests, only surpassing shotguns.  I have owned and do own sporting rifles.  Other than defensive shotguns and an inherited Beretta that passed through my hands briefly, I simply don't own shotguns.
