Yep, it was the P245. I didn't like that they kept similar dimensions of the P25, but shortened the grip so that it only held 6 rounds in the magazine. Yes, it probably would conceal a little better because of the short grip, but not much IMO. It also could use the P220 magazines, and IIRC, they developed an extender "sleeve" for the longer magazine.
Very short-lived, and then replaced with today's P220 Compacts. I don't know how the P220 Compacts vary from the P245. Very little difference other than the P220 Compact uses the newer milled slide, while the P245 used the old stamped slide. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: They kinda sorta did with the short-lived compact version of the P220. What was the model number? P245 I believe? Very short-lived, and then replaced with today's P220 Compacts. I don't know how the P220 Compacts vary from the P245. And frankly I don't know how they or the P245 vary from your vision of the P225 in .45ACP. All this P220 talk is really making me miss my P220, easily the favorite of my few SIGs. But nostalgia aside, a man moves on. |
