For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I miss the days when being slightly clever made being gun geek more fun--now everything you could possibly want or need is being produced and all you need are dollars, it seems.... Image below from Mark Freburg - Image Title: photos Image Info: Once they've served their purpose in oral hygiene, toothbrushes are a good addition to the cleaning bench. Use them as is, take a couple and cut the bristles down low to make them firmer for better cleaning, or cut the handles down to add a couple to your compact shooting bag cleaning kit. A fresh razor blade and some patience will trim the bristles nicely, and a hacksaw will make short work of any toothbrush handle, even the ones with rubber inserts. Any file will smooth the rough edges of the handle with a few short strokes. |
