Yep, I think Mark has had some unkind things to say about Kimber as well. They weren't cheap in their early days. Sounds like the price has come down along, maybe, with their quality control?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yep, disappointing for sure. It was on the inexpensive side for a 6” gun to begin with. Something like $670...Should have been a tip off. What got me looking at any (new) Kimber at all was the fact that my nephew had just bought a “Shot Show Special” model. A Government model with fixed combat sights, for $530 and it was a sweet shooter! Other than that, I haven’t heard too many good things said about Kimber pistols produced in the past 10 years or so. Yikes, there seems to be a common theme going on, about newer production guns, being less than stellar. But then again, I have been called a pessimist, for about the same timeframe...lol! |
