Hi Harvey,
When I was in Alaska back in the 70s hunting coastal Brown Bear, protecting our guns was difficult. It was a constant battle to keep guns from rusting. I wish we had some of these new products back then. One of the best solutions was coating the metal with Teflon. A Teflon finish was too soft and eventually got scratched riding in a metal skiff. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Many thanks for the link...it was very impressive and interesting. My rifles have been babied pretty much over the many years that I've had them, with only my OTC rifles having a chance of getting wet was at Camp Perry matches, and they were cleaned every niht. Breakfree CLP has served me very well. I started using it in the '80's when I discovered it at Perry. HGW |
