That never occurred to me.  I kind of ass-umed that they probably kept the pistols separate from the magazines, whether for issue or once they were collected and surplussed, and simply sold them off that way.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wonder if there is some Israeli restriction on exporting surplus LE pistols with magazines? Harvey
