I recall Dale Mullin was a big fan of the .25-45 Sharps. I think the somewhat anachronistic-sounding name, which of course meant nothing in real life but in marketing can mean everything didn't help. Modern shooters, and AR guys tend to be more cutting edge than Elmer-esque, want names like "Blackout" not "Sharps." Ballistics only matter as far as a gun writer can make them sound like they matter on the printed or digital page to far too many people.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Maybe not so much. I no longer have this. The only non 5.56 AR I have is one chambered in .25-45 Sharps. It was supposed to be the new hotness in hunting rounds for states with bams on hunting deer with .223. It hath flopped like a belly going into a pool. |
