For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I don't want to argue with you either--because if you reread my message you'll find I was not arguing with you. I was saying in this case it likely was a bedding problem, but one that could not be fixed in a rack grade rifle due to the reshaping of the receiver. What I was pointing out in my first paragraph was that the presence of handguards was not the reason military rifles in general lacked accuracy--and sniper rifles of old proved that, as do the same rifles today when tuned and used in competition. |
