I agree. Both for added security and for speed of access, on-body carry wins. Off-body carry may be necessary in certain special situations but should always be secondary to standard - likely strong-side hip - carry!

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Some years back, when our late friend Darryl uploaded this image, off-body carry was all the rage. While it may still be with some people, I believe on-body carry makes far more sense, as a pack, purse, etc., is so likely to be separated from the victim during an attack. Anyone agree or disagree?
