I was cheap in my younger years as well as my "golden" years so the only explanation I can come up with for some of the crazy money prices people are paying is the "auction fever effect".
That's where otherwise normal, intelligent people get caught up in a bidding war and can't help themselves, they MUST have the gun and, common sense be damned! I stopped in a gun shop last deer season, Jim's in Canton, PA, and they have racks full of rifles and shotguns, cases full of every handgun imaginable so it's not like the grocery store with empty shelves, I just don't understand? |
