I found one for about $500 with a really beat finish.
I never knew Browning even had a factory in Utah. I thought they were like Springfield, farming out most "Browning" production that wasn't provided by FN. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks for the info that FN was not involved with the BDM. I assumed they were based on the Hi-Power-like appearance. The BDM was, supposedly, designed for a request for proposal by the FBI. Unfortunately for Browning, they didn't win the contract. They were produced only in Utah, and FN never was interested in them. Interestingly, they BDM slide was actually slimmer than the BHP, with a nicer fitting grip.Depending on the year they were produced, a lot of them came with only 10-rd magazines (thanks Bubba Bill). Now I'm looking for a cheap BDM based on our talk here. Looks like they are generally not cheap.. The least expensive one I've seen for sale was $699 at a Cabelas in Oregon. Most are $800+. (Maybe I should have kept mine.) Maybe you can find one for less. Harvey |
