You can probably name your price for that VEPR-1. It's a beautiful rifle that is no longer available for import due to Russian Sanctions from Obama. I imagine close to $3000. I had one as well, and put a scope on it. Shot just fine, and I got rid of it for stupid reasons. The 10-round mags would never hold more than 9, and then it would jam worse than a praise band on Easter Sunday. The 5 round magazines worked just fine. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have it but don't shoot it. It has a 4x-12x Nikon scope now that I've yet to zero. Just don't do much rifle shooting these days other than occasional milsurp shooting. Need to take that one out sometime. You're right it is large. I don't know if I'd call it chunky, but it has to be big enough to handle the 7.62x54R cartridge.
