They are both built on the same N-frame, and the M28 was simply finished in a more economical way--dull blue, service stocks, etc., while the M27 got a high polish, deep blue, magna stocks, etc. I've mentioned this before the but the M28 was my first .357 Magnum--with a six inch barrel. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: To my eye they always looked the same dimension wise, the 28 had an "unpolished" finish and smaller grips while the 27 was a high polish, deep blue finish with much nicer grips. I always thought of the Highway Patrolman as something a Highway Patrolman could use on some punk's head in the unlikely event that he left his blackjack on the kitchen table! |
