I can appreciate a derringer for its historic value and maybe as a curiosity, but never was interested in one for fun shooting and definitely not for defense. The fact that they are still made - and bought - blows my mind.
A member of my gun club once showed me the derringer he carried as a pocket pistol. We were at the range so I gave him my little KelTec .32 to try. He came back with a smile on his face; he actually could shoot groups with it and felt the recoil less! So more power to you, Robert, if you can find one that's buyable but they ain't for me. Stu |
