Consider this--it probably takes the "maybe" away from using a .28 caliber bullet on the bigger stuff that worries a lot of hunters.  And if you go to the .270 Weatherby, you get the extra power without getting all the extra recoil you'd get from a Weatherby .300 Magnum. (On the other hand, I'd probably opt for the .30-06 and be done with it.)

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Is the recoil and muzzle blast not to mention the extra $$$ the Weatherby cost worth the extra 200FPS?  Not to this hunter it isn't.
