Never tried the Eley Club but I have used a lot of the CCI Standard Velocity. It shoots very well but has a lot of flyers. I shoot on a 50 yard outdoor range and try for MOA or less on each target. That does not happen very often with CCI SV. I will try the Eley Club next time I buy ammo. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Browning T-bolt is a fun gun to shoot but it is but it is very ammo sensitive. I have not had a chance to find an ammo it likes. The two most accurate rounds that I have tried in my guns are Eley Club and CCI Standard Velocity Mini Mags, both with plain lead 40 grain bullets. These two loads will not cycle a semi auto pistol or rifle set up for high speed ammo. I use them in my Winchester 52C bolt gun and with the Marvel .22 conversion kit I put on a Colt .45ACP 1911 frame. I use CCI Mini Mags with copper coated 40 grain bullets moving at 1235 FPS for everything that requires a high speed load. They function in all my other semi auto .22 rifles and pistols. They aren't quite as accurate as the slower loads but they are close enough for anything but actual competition at the 50-foot indoor range where I do most of my .22 shooting. |
