Reading the reviews of the Savage Mark II was the reason I bought the ones I did. I took the Savage with the 21-inch barrel and the Bergara BMR to the range Tuesday. I shot nine groups with each rifle. The Savage average for the nine groups was 0.437. The Bergara average was slightly better at 0.371. My best scores yet. Maybe I should quit while I am ahead.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I will try to get a photo of the Win 63 soon. Looking forward to seeing it. You certainly have an affinity for what I consider very neat looking firearms. The Savage surprised me in how well it shot. On my next trip to the range I will use a higher quality ammo and see if it gets even better. Check out some of the reviews on the Savage and you'll see excellent accuracy cited frequently. That is why I need to try harder. Nah. It keeps us drooling over your purchases! Harvey |
