I've also replaced safety locks on Hi-Powers, preferring the Cylinder & Slide version.
I don't know what's involved in swapping a slide-mounted decocker on a CZ75 for a safety lock--do you mean a frame-mounted type? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'd be interested to know how you improve safety features... Sorry for the slow response. I lost my internet and email (and my VOIP landline) Friday, and it was just resumed (8 pm, Monday). Seems we had a bit of Spring weather here in the St. Louis area. The improvements to safety features I was talking about was replacing the mushy manual safety on the BHP with something that was crisper and dependable. On my 1911s, I replaced the manual safety with an extended version which was an improvement for me. Also by adding a beaver tail to the 1911 I felt it improved the reliability by eliminating the possibility of not fully engaging the grip safety, and it gave me a more "comfortable" hold. On a Baby Eagle (CZ clone), I replaced the slide mounted decocker with a manual safety, allowing me to carry it cocked and locked, which I thought was an improvement for carry. Harvey |
