We've probably discussed this before, but the Highway Patrolman was my first .357 Magnum.  I paid more for mine than you did yours, but it was still a steal based on today's outrageous prices, though.  I sold mine because I needed something smaller and lighter for police work.  At the time I couldn't afford to just a buy a new gun every time I needed or wanted one.  But I too regret selling mine.
