Another reason not to want a 6" revolver--uncomfortable in a car. I never knew cops who carried 6" guns although I worked alongside several CHP officers. (They all carried 4" magnums).

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Actually I was speaking of the 4" model which I believe most highway departments favored as 6" models were not well suited to riding in a patrol vehicle. I'm sure you know Texas Rangers carried whatever they wanted and most of them opted for the 1911? There is an old story about a Ranger being asked why he carried a 45, his reply, "because they don't make a 46"! Best wishes to you and all the Forum members for a great Easter / Passover season. I'm not Jewish but I am addicted to the chocolate covered jelly rings the store has in the Kosher Food section every year at this time. |
