I'm sure you know Texas Rangers carried whatever they wanted and most of them opted for the 1911? There is an old story about a Ranger being asked why he carried a 45, his reply, "because they don't make a 46"! Best wishes to you and all the Forum members for a great Easter / Passover season. I'm not Jewish but I am addicted to the chocolate covered jelly rings the store has in the Kosher Food section every year at this time. |

Interestingly enough, toward the end of academy firearms training we were allowed to qualify on semi-autos, so I used my Colt Government. Not long after I got on with a sheriff's dept. not too far from there, I ended up getting permission to carry my Colt, based on my academy qualificiation. So I only carried my Ruger for a very short time. |
